About
Currently, Serena is a researcher and design strategist at Architecture for Public Benefit, passionate about creating spaces that bring people together, celebrate culture, and support community well-being. With a strong interest in adaptive reuse, she focuses on preserving a site’s history while introducing innovative, sustainable solutions that address contemporary needs. A graduate of The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture, Serena draws inspiration from her Jewish heritage and the concept of Tikkun Olam—repairing the world. Her capstone project envisioned a dining hall and cultural center as a welcoming space for the Jewish community and anyone interested in exploring Jewish traditions and culture. Serena’s work reflects her commitment to fostering connection and understanding through thoughtful, inclusive design.
